MIL-DTL-38999 Series III
The most common filter connector product is manufactured per Mil-DTL-38999/20 or /24. The /20 series is a flange mounted receptacle connector and the /24 series is a jam nut mounted receptacle connector. The /24 series is shown below.
The connector package shown below was manufactured using a crimp termination per the customers requirements. As with all mil-spec connectors we manufacture, the crimp termination may be substituted for solder cups or PC tails depending on the application.
The connector package shown below was manufactured with a composite shell. The composite shell material provided a net weight reduction of 40% compared to aluminum. This application was unique in that the customer required a waterproof seal with the mounting plate. To accommodate this, o-rings were utilized with blind screw holes. Helicoils provided the mounting mechanism. The delivery time to customer on this project was sub 6 weeks.
