The Filconn team has 65 years of combined experience in designing and manufacturing filter connectors to meet a multitude of applications. We've built connectors with Pi, L, T, C and combination filters with capacitance values ranging from 10 Pico farads to .5 micro farads
Filter Connectors:
Depending on filter performance requirements, we offer Pi or C filters. Our standard filter connector meets a DWV of 500 VDC. We build filter connectors to withstand 3000 VDC for high voltage environments. The mating face can be either pins or sockets. For rear termination, we offer several options:
- Solder Cup Terminations.
- PC Tail Terminations
- Crimp Terminations
Because our filter connectors are custom designed, additional value added features can be added at very little cost. For instance:
- Clinch nuts 2-56 or 6-32 thread
- Heli-Coils (requires thicker flange)
- Custom flange positioning
- Various shell alloy options
- Various shell plating options
Dimensionally the filter connector differs from the standard only in overall length. The mating face is maintained per the applicable mil spec.
Transient Suppression Connectors:
In addition to our filter connector product line, we also offer transient suppression connectors. We package diodes within the connector housing to shunt pulses to ground. Our standard diodes are rated for 600 watts, however we can supply 1000 and 1500 watt devices for specific applications. We can offer breakdown voltages from 3 to 200 volts depending on your need. We also offer low capacitance diode configurations for sensitive data transmission circuits.
Combined Filter and Transient Suppression Connectors:
For applications which require both filtering and pulse protection, we can supply a combined technology filter/transient suppression connector.
Custom Connectors:
Filconn makes such a broad variety of product that we have extensive experience in meeting unusual requirements and solving unique problems. Thermocouple contacts, prewired terminations, right angle terminations, adapters, make and break devices, built in fuses, resistors, space applications.
Dsub and Micro D Filters:
We have the technology to filter micro D connectors. Both pin and socket mating faces can be filtered. We can design micro D shells to meet custom requirements.
